Search the Dataset Register

Are you curious about what digital heritage is currently available? The Dataset Register is the place to discover this. You won't find digital heritage here, but you will find descriptions of datasets that directly refer to the datasets at the source.

Use the search function to quickly find the right datasets. With filters and search terms, you can easily retrieve the information that fits your question.

Heritage organizations usually offer their datasets under an open license, often CC0. This means that the datasets may be freely used and shared, without prior permission being required. This makes it easier to link, research and use datasets in, for example, websites, apps or research.

For technical use, the underlying triplestore is also available. It is accessible via https://qlever.netwerkdigitaalerfgoed.nl/datasetregister. Here you can execute SPARQL queries yourself and directly search dataset descriptions. Do you want more insight into the possibilities of the SPARQL endpoint and the triplestore? The data story page shows step by step how queries are built.

The search function on the website and the SPARQL endpoint are freely accessible. Everyone can search the dataset descriptions.
