Validate a dataset description

Have you created and published your dataset description? And do you want to know if it meets the requirements for Datasets(opens in new tab)? And do you have a NDE-compatible collection information system? Then this validation will happen automatically. Why is this important? Only descriptions that meet the requirements will be included in the Dataset Register.

If you don't have a NDE-compatible collection information system, you can validate your dataset description below. Enter the URL of the page where you have published your dataset description. After validation, you will see immediately if your dataset description meets the requirements of the Dataset Register. You will also receive suggestions for improvement. If your dataset description is not yet published, copy and paste the machine-readable dataset description into the Paste tab. Select the correct content type and let the description be validated.
